Next Stop: Worcester

Are you curious about what it’s like to study abroad? This task invites you to explore the University of Worcester in England and reflect on the possibilities of completing a degree in another country. You’ll learn about the university, its study programmes, student life, and what it might mean to take the leap and study outside Finland.

TASK:

1. Get to Know the University. Visit the University of Worcester at Opopassi and University of Worcester website. Watch also a Campus tour. Find answers to the following:

A) Where is the university located?

B) What campuses and facilities does it offer?

C) What makes the university unique?

2. Reflect on Studying Abroad. Think about what it would be like to move abroad for your studies. Answer the following:

A) What opportunities and challenges might come with studying in another country?

B) What skills or qualities would a student need?

C) What excites or concerns you about studying abroad?

Write a short reflection (about 5–10 sentences).

 

3. Explore Study Options. Find a degree programme at the University of Worcester that interests you. Answer: 

A) Which programme did you choose and why?

B) What subjects or modules are included?

C) What kind of careers could this degree lead to?

4. Discover Student Life. Look into what student life is like at Worcester:
